Colour film by the GNTO presenting the churches and monasteries of Greece as a destination of spiritual interest. Initially, classical monuments such as the Parthenon, the Erechtheion and Delphi are shown, together with footage from Santorini. The camera then focuses on Mount Athos, recording the monasteries and the daily life of the monks, followed by the Meteora monasteries of Kalambaka. The film also includes scattered island churches, chapels on rocks or atop ancient ruins, and concludes with the central tourism slogan “Hellas GREECE Makes your heart beat!”.
