Colour documentary film “2,500 YEARS OF GREEK MUSIC” (GNTO 93), under the directorial supervision of A. Bakogianni and G. Kiousis, with texts by D. Iatropoulos and Greek narration by H. Tsagas. The film presents the historical evolution of Greek music in five sections, from antiquity and Byzantium to folk, rebetiko and art song traditions. The material includes footage of archaeological sites, temples and Greek landscapes, as well as photographs of rebetiko musicians, leading composers and writers. Musical supervision was undertaken by Lakis Halkias.
