Colour short film entitled “STONE AND LIGHT”, produced by Movie Light for the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), directed by Nikos Drakoulakos with music by Tasos Diakogiourgis and songs performed by K. Hadjis and G. Bithikotsis. The film includes English narration, Greek recitation, and traditional lament songs, while showcasing the barren landscape, tower settlements, coastlines of Laconia, and Byzantine churches of Mani. At the same time, it documents the daily life of the inhabitants through agricultural activities such as the harvesting of olives, wheat, and herbs. Finally, it captures traditional crafts, including basket weaving and grinding grain with a hand mill, highlighting the distinctive way of life and cultural identity of the region.
