CAVE OF THE LAKES – A Dreamlike Tour

Colour short film (1994), directed by A. Papailiou and produced by the Kastria Community Enterprise with the sponsorship of the GNTO, presenting the Cave of the Lakes and mountainous Achaia as a destination of natural and archaeological interest. The film includes footage from the interior of the cave, its terraced lakes, palaeontological finds and accounts concerning its discovery in 1964. It also features the Diakopto–Kalavryta Rack Railway, the Vouraikos Gorge, the historic monasteries of Mega Spilaio and Agia Lavra, as well as the town of Kalavryta.
