Colour documentary film series entitled “EPIRUS PRIMORDIAL HELLAS – UNDER THE TURKISH RULE”, a co-production of the Greek Film Centre, the GNTO, ET-1 and Positive Ltd, directed by Maria Chatzimichali-Papaliou, presenting the history, spiritual revival and resistance of Epirus during Ottoman rule up to its liberation in 1913. Through footage of traditional architecture, castles, everyday life and Epirot polyphonic songs, the series concludes with archival photographs from the liberation of Ioannina.
